Bitwise has launched an exchange-traded product (ETP) tracking Canton Network on Xetra, the electronic trading system of Deutsche Börse, Germany's primary stock exchange. The listing marks another institutional gateway into blockchain infrastructure assets through traditional securities infrastructure.
Canton Network, a blockchain protocol focused on enterprise adoption, gains retail and institutional investor exposure through the Xetra platform, which processes substantial daily trading volumes across European markets. The ETP structure allows investors to gain exposure without direct token custody, addressing regulatory and operational barriers that have historically limited institutional participation in crypto-native assets.
The move reflects ongoing efforts by crypto asset managers to expand distribution channels into regulated securities exchanges. Bitwise, which manages assets across multiple cryptocurrency investment products, continues building its European presence and institutional product suite following increased regulatory clarity around crypto asset classification in the European Union.
