Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced it will cease trading support for AERGO (AERGO) effective August 3 at 15:00 UTC. The exchange provided notice through its official service center on the platform.
The delisting marks another reduction in altcoin offerings on major Asian exchanges as markets consolidate around higher-volume assets. AERGO, a blockchain platform token, joins a growing list of projects facing reduced institutional trading access. Upbit did not disclose specific reasons for the delisting in the announcement.
Users holding AERGO on the exchange are expected to withdraw their holdings before the trading suspension takes effect. The move reflects ongoing pressure on exchanges to streamline their listed assets and focus on tokens with sustained trading volumes and regulatory clarity.
