Glassnode: Bitcoin Price Bottom Still Forming as Long-Term Capitulation Slows

Glassnode reports Bitcoin's price bottom still forming with declining long-term capitulation, but rising short-term capital concentration raises volatility risk.

Glassnode's latest analysis indicates Bitcoin remains in price discovery near its floor, though the character of the bottom is shifting as long-term holder capitulation decelerates. Buyers have absorbed June's lows, reducing the supply that previously pressured each rally attempt, according to the on-chain analytics firm.

Bitcoin is currently consolidating with support from elevated investor profitability and stable derivatives positioning. However, the growing proportion of price-sensitive short-term capital in the market raises the probability of sharper volatility swings and increased selling pressure. This dynamic creates asymmetric risk for further downside moves if sentiment deteriorates, even as structural weakness from capitulation eases.

The shift suggests the market is transitioning from a capitulation-driven bottom to a range-bound formation where technical moves will increasingly depend on short-term trader positioning rather than long-term holder behavior.
